PRESCHOOL

Our Academic Offering

Our academic offer is aimed at children from:

Pre-Nursery (1 year) and Nursery (2 years)

Our main objective is to promote integral development through sensory exploration, so that they can become more independent, confident, and sociable children in their environment.

Pre-Kinder (3 years old)

The students take a step towards independence and autonomy, in addition, within the study program, the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each one of them through the exploration of the senses, games and creativity is rescued.

Kinder (4 years)

The integral development of the students is promoted, providing them with learning experiences based on their interests and developing skills such as creating, exploring, solving and learning from their environment.

Preschool (5 years)

Critical thinking skills and the necessary abilities to initiate the reading and writing process are stimulated, respecting the characteristics of each person's motor, cognitive and emotional development.

Our Methodology

We have our own program designed to favor the comprehensive development of our students, strengthening values, research, thinking routines, and 21st century skills in an interdisciplinary manner.

We work with specific routines

50% of the day in Spanish and 50% in English.

Complementary subjects

o Pre-Nursery and Nursery: They receive art workshop, education through movement, Sensory Lab and music workshop.
o Pre-Kinder to Preschool: Art Workshop, Education through Movement, Sensory Lab, Music Workshop and Computer Science.

Individualized attention

Academic support. We provide after-hours reinforcement in English and/or Spanish, according to the student's needs.

Language therapy

We offer language therapy and teacher support.

Complementary Activities

Additionally, we stimulate our students through art, literature, role playing, construction, mathematics, stimulation of the senses, the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), gross and fine motor skills through different methodologies.

STEAM Methodology

We carry out activities that combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics skills.

Sensory Lab

Space designed to offer meaningful sensory experiences of high impact for the comprehensive development of people.

Active methodologies

Project-based learning and thinking routines.

Scientific Fair

Research skills that we develop from our SIPEIN (Acronym for its name in Spanish) pedagogical model.

Daycare

We have extended hours until 2:30 p.m. and daycare until 5:30 p.m. at an extra cost.

Preschool Student Services Unit

The Preschool Student Services Unit has a Psychologist and a Language Therapist. Its main objective is the development of the student population in their first academic experience.

 

During the process, activities, workshops, games, and talks that promote social, personal, and emotional development are implemented. According to their emotional needs, they are given disciplinary, emotional, and social support; creating an appropriate environment where values are strengthened, mainly Franciscan values.

 

The support service provides accompaniment to the student population that requires reinforcement in the skills and abilities that favor their independence and performance in the activities developed in the school environment.

In the language area, it focuses on the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and intervention of communication disorders, alterations in oral language, development of auditory discrimination skills (phonological awareness), which are involved in written production.

 

At a general level, the Preschool SSU intervenes and performs the following activities:

  • Accompaniment in the educational process.
  • Implementation of institutional programs.
  • Childhood development of social skills.
  • Re-education of language functions (alterations in language comprehension and expression).
  • Reinforcement of learning from the emotional area.
  • Accompaniment to parents on issues of interest to children’s development.
